TACOMA — Senior Titus Pascua rushed for 187 yards, including a 73-yard touchdown run in the third quarter, to lead Neah Bay to a 36-28 victory over Almira/Coulee-Hartline in the Washington state prep football championships.
The victory Friday gave Neah Bay its first 1B state football title.
Neah Bay had made it to two previous prep football title games as well as last year’s boys’ basketball championship game.
Pascua’s 73-yarder gave the Red Devils (12-2) the lead for good at 16-8 with 8:55 to go in the third quarter.
Derek Isaak led the Warriors (12-1), rushing for 119 yards and two touchdowns and throwing for two more. Almira/Coulee-Hartline was looking for its third football title.
Neah Bay sophomore quarterback Josiah Green rushed for 121 yards and two touchdowns and threw for another.
