NORTH OLYMPIC PENINSULA PREP FOOTBALL: Sequim, Port Angeles, Chimacum, Clallam Bay and Forks all lose big

BREMERTON — Friday night was fright night for North Olympic Peninsula football, as all five teams in action lost by at least 23 points.

Sequim had the closest game against Klahowya in an Olympic League battle at Silverdale Stadium.

The Eagles took a 29-7 lead in the third quarter before the Wolves scored a pair of touchdowns to cut the lead to 29-21 going into the fourth.

That’s as close at Sequim got, though, as Klahowya tacked on a pair of touchdowns to put the game away and prevail 44-21.

The Wolves next face Port Angeles.

The Riders had a tough night of their own, following up their first win since 2011 by being routed 47-7 at North Kitsap.

Other area scores from Friday night: Lummi beat Clallam Bay 74-26, Rochester stuffed Forks 35-7 and Charles Wright Academy took care of Chimacum 55-14.

Saturday’s Games

Four Peninsula teams are in action Saturday:

Crescent is at Tulalip Heritage at 1 p.m.

Quilcene hosts Muckleshoot in a game rescheduled from last week at 1 p.m.

Top-ranked Neah Bay plays undefeated Lopez at Oak Harbor High School at 2 p.m. This game can be heard live on Forks1490.com.

Port Townsend plays Life Christian at Clover Park High School in Tacoma tonight at 7 p.m.
