PENINSULA COLLEGE: Registration open for winter leagues

PORT ANGELES — Registration is now open for adult recreation winter volleyball and basketball leagues, as well as a drop-in basketball opportunity, all hosted by Peninsula College.

The Peninsula Basketball League will hold games on Sundays starting Jan. 5. People can reserve a spot for a team by contacting Bryce Jacobson at bjacobson@pencol.edu.

The Peninsula Volleyball League will play matches on Tuesday and Thursday evenings starting Jan. 7. Team captains can reserve a spot in the A Division (Thursdays) or B Division (Tuesdays) by contacting Rick Ross at rross@pencol.edu.

Individuals wanting to get on a team should also contact Jacobson for basketball and Ross for volleyball.

Peninsula College Noon Hoops takes place during the noon hour on Mondays and Fridays at the Pirate gym. Participants can register at the Peninsula College athletics website under events/community sports. Winter quarter play will resume on Jan. 3.

The cost for individuals to participate in each of the three events is $50 per person, although Noon Hoops is free to PC students and staff. The minimum age for participants is 16.
