PREP BASEBALL, SOFTBALL: Forks players, coaches win all-league honors

FORKS — The Forks baseball and softball teams, which both played for the Southwest District championships, had numerous players named to the Pacific League baseball and softball all-league teams.

Forks baseball coach Jason Richard and softball coach Traci Kratzer were both named coaches of the year.

Forks dominated the baseball all-league team. Making the first team were Logan Olson, Carter Windle, Dalton Kilmer and Trey Baysinger. Making the second team were Hayden Baker, Riley Pursley and Tyler Wood.

The MVP was Colby Scheuber of Ocosta.

Making the baseball Pacific League All-Academic team were Spartans Kaleb Blanton, Jack Delgado, Ryan Rancourt and Gunner Rogers.

In softball, making the first team were Spartans Chloe Leverington and Elizabeth Soto. Making the second team were Kyra Neel and Aspen Rondeau. Making the honorable mention team were Kadie Wood, Keira Johnson and Kray Horton.

The softball MVP was Olivia Matlock of Pe Ell-Willapa Valley.

Making the softball All-Academic Team were Forks’ Josie Grant, Johnson, Leverington, Maren McCracken, Neel and Nicole Winger.
