SEATTLE — Four area high school basketball players have received All-State honors from The Associated Press.

Neah Bay’s Ryan Moss and Kenrick Doherty Jr. were voted to the boys Class 1B All-State team. One of their teammates, Rwehabura Munyagi Jr., is on the honorable mention list.

Quilcene’s Megan Weller was selected for the 1B girls team.

Results of the voting conducted by sports writers and editors from around the state were announced Wednesday.

Bellarmine Prep guard Malachi Flynn and Lynnwood star Mikayla Pivec have been voted the 2016 Associated Press Washington state basketball players of the year for all classifications.

Both Flynn (Class 4A) and Pivec (Class 3A) were also voted the players of the year in their respective classifications.

Flynn averaged nearly 30 points per game in his senior season for the Lions, but has yet to decide where he will play collegiately. Flynn edged out Lakeside of Seattle’s Isiah Brown for state player of the year honors.

Pivec will continue her playing career in college with current Final Four participant Oregon State. Pivec averaged 22 points and 14 rebounds per game this season for Lynnwood. Bellevue’s Anna Wilson, younger sister of Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, was second in player of the year voting.

Dallas Isaak of state runner-up Almira/Coulee-Hartline, was picked as the boys 1B player of the year. Neah Bay routed the Warriors 73-48 in the 1B title game earlier this month.
