PREP FOOTBALL: Neah Bay advances to state championship game with 46-14 win over Lummi

TACOMA — Neah Bay earned its third straight trip to the state championship game with a 46-14 win over Lummi in the 1B semifinal at the Tacoma Dome on Friday.

The Red Devils fell behind 14-0 in the first quarter, but then held the Blackhawks’ high-powered offense scoreless over the final three quarters of the game.

Neah Bay held onto a 16-14 lead at halftime by stuffing Lummi on fourth down near the end zone with 10 seconds remaining in the second quarter.

The Red Devils pulled away in the second half with a pair of touchdowns in both the third and fourth quarters.

Cody Cummins rushed for 115 yards and two touchdowns and Josiah Greene completed 8 of 10 passes for 179 yards and three scores for Neah Bay.

In the 1B title game, the Red Devils (11-0) will face the winner of Saturday’s game between Touchet and Rosalia in Pasco.
