PREP FOOTBALL: Six Quilcene players earn first-team SeaTac honors

QUILCENE — Quilcene dominated the ranks of the Class 1B SeaTac League All-League team much like the team rolled through their league schedule this fall.

The back-to-back league champion Rangers (9-0) had six players earn first-team honors and another a second-team nod in voting by league coaches.

Junior Holdem Elkins was a first-team pick at quarterback for Quilcene. Elkins was joined by senior running back Olin Reynolds, senior wide receiver Robert Comstock, sophomore offensive lineman Zach Budnek, senior linebacker Dustin Hughes and senior defensive back Ben Bruner.

Senior offensive lineman Garon Terry was a second-team selection.

Tacoma Baptist quarterback Jeremiah Lynn was voted SeaTac League MVP and the Crusaders’ coaching staff was picked as the staff of the year.

The Rangers (9-0) will face Darrington (3-7) at 5 p.m. Friday at Silverdale Stadium in a winner-to-state Quad-District playoff game.

Munn second team

QUILCENE — Quilcene senior Pearl Munn was a second-team pick on the SeaTac League’s All-League volleyball team.

Voting was conducted by league coaches.

Munn was a senior co-captain for the Rangers this fall.
