PREP FOOTBALL UPDATE: Neah Bay beats Lummi 38-26; Port Angeles, Sequim, Forks, Clallam Bay and Port Townsend win Friday

NEAH BAY — Neah Bay outscored Lummi 20-6 in the second half to beat the Blackhawks 38-26 on Friday night.

After going into halftime down 20-18, the top-ranked Red Devils quickly took the lead for good when Cameron Buzzell hooked up with Chris Martinez for a 61-yard touchdown pass.

Two plays later, John Reamer tipped a pass by Lummi’s Hank Hoskins that was caught by Tommy Tyler and returned 40 yards for another Neah Bay touchdown.

The Red Devils added a 70-yard touchdown run by Elisha Winck and stopped fourth-ranked Lummi on a few fourth-down plays in the fourth quarter to preserve the win.

Neah Bay’s (2-0) win was one of many wins by North Olympic Peninsula teams Friday.
