PREP ROUNDUP: Port Angeles tennis sweeps Kingston

PORT ANGELES — The Port Angeles boys tennis team swept Kingston 7-0, not losing a single set during the entire meet.

In fact, Garret Buerer and three doubles teams — Luke Flodstrom/Nathan Basden, Austin Worthington/Keatyn Hoch and Carter Gundersen/Grant Butterworth — all won 6-0, 6-0.

The win puts the Roughriders at 4-1, all alone in second place in the Olympic League.

The Riders hosted North Mason on Tuesday after press deadline. Port Angeles next plays at Bremerton (1-2) at 4 p.m. today.

No. 2: Sky Gelder (PA) def. Ben Decker (King.) 6-0, 7-5.

No. 1: Luke Flodstrom/Nathan Basden (PA) def. Paul Fitch/Levi Boyd (King.) 6-0, 6-0.

No. 2: Austin Worthington/Keatyn Hoch (PA) def. Ke Black/Ryan Steel (King.) 6-0, 6-0.

No. 3: Carter Gundersen/Grant Butterworth (PA) def. Rohen Alexander/Stanley Jones (King.) 6-0, 6-0.

No. 4: Zach Neff/Carston Seibel (PA) won by forfeit.
