BREMERTON — The Sequim volleyball team crushed Bremerton this weekend, allowing just 26 points in a 3-0 (25-3, 25-18, 25-5) victory.

“Kenzi spread out the sets well for our offense,” said coach Jennie Webber-Heilman. The team had 22 kills total.
Sydney Clark served 7-for-7 with a pair of aces, while Sophia Greenleaf served 9-for-11 with three aces.
“Second game, Rose was our first server and served a 12-point run, which included five aces,” Webber-Heilman said. Gibson also had a pair of five-point runs in the first game.
Sequim (5-2, 5-3) next plays at home at 6:30 p.m. today against Kingston (3-4, 4-5), then hosts North Mason (2-5, 5-5) at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
Swim meet canceled
SEQUIM — A Sequim High School swim meet with Klahowya on Friday was canceled due to a three-hour road closure on U.S. Highway 101 due to a major traffic collision in Blyn.
The accident prevented the Klahowya bus from getting to Sequim in time for the meet, so the Sequim swim team held time trials.
“And also to give their friends and loved that came to cheer them on a chance to watch them swim,” said coach Cherise Feser.
That same collision also delayed Sequim and Port Angeles football teams from getting to their games in Bremerton and Poulsbo.
The Sequim swim team will host East Jefferson at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Sequim YMCA.
