SEQUIM — Sequim lost its first Olympic League 2A Division boys basketball game and had its three-game winning streak snapped after being beaten by Bremerton 77-62.
“We gave Bremerton too many extra opportunities. Offensive boards and turnovers were the difference in the game,” Greg Glasser said of Tuesday’s game.
Isaiah Moore led the Wolves with 26 points, shooting 10 for 15 from the floor. He also led Sequim with 12 rebounds.
Erik Christiansen struggled from the floor but still ended up with 12 points. Dallin Despain had seven points, six rebounds and seven assists, while Hayden Eaton had eight points, eight rebounds and three blocks.
The Wolves (2-1, 5-2) played at Forks (4-0) Wednesday night after deadline. Sequim’s next game will be at home at 3:15 p.m. Dec. 27 against Washougal (3-1).

PORT TOWNSEND — Tied at halftime and after three quarters, the Redhawks ran into trouble with turnovers in a big way down the stretch in an Olympic League 1A Division loss to the Eagles.
“They started hitting some shots and executing a little better than we were offensively,” Port Townsend coach Tom Webster said. “They got the ball inside, they got some steals and we had to foul from there.
“We turned it over too much in the final quarter. They started pressing us a little bit and we were having some turnovers in transition and some in halfcourt, too. That’s part of our learning process.
“We just didn’t put together four good quarters.”
Noa Montoya led Port Townsend 14 points.
Lonnie Kenney had 10 points, including three 3-point baskets.
The Redhawks (1-1, 1-5) visit Coupeville tonight.

BREMERTON — The Wolves shrugged off some early shooting woes to lance the Knights in an Olympic League contest Tuesday.
“We got off to a slow start with many shot opportunities that were not going in,” Sequim coach Linsay Rapelje said. “We came out much more solid in the second half with our fast break and more intense defense.”
Sequim senior Hope Glasser narrowly missed out on a triple-double, scoring 25 points with nine rebounds and nine steals.
Melissa Porter had a double-double for the Wolves with 11 points and 13 rebounds.

Chimacum splits pair
SUQUAMISH — The Cowboys split a pair of nonleague contests, dropping Chief Kitsap 27-21 Monday on the road and falling to Granite Falls 37-16 at home Tuesday.
Chimacum coach Trevor Huntingford thought his team played better against Granite Falls, despite losing the game.
“It was a big step up from the night before, despite the fact that we won,” Huntingford said. “They played considerably better. We just tired considerably after halftime, the effect of a short bench and playing back-to-back games.”
Huntingford said Jadeah Nordberg was crucial on the boards.
“She was upwards of 20 rebounds last night,” he said. “She was unbelievable. She was really good on the boards. Stole a ton of balls, tied up a ton of balls.”
Against Chief Kitsap, Katie Clark led the Cowboys with 12 points.
“She had three steals for run-out layins that really gave us some cushion late in the fourth quarter,” Huntingford said.
Chimacum (0-2, 2-4) is off until a Jan. 2 home game against Vashon.

BREMERTON — Behind the strength of their relay teams and a great performance by Kaleb Needoba the Wolves narrowly beat Bremerton 82-78 to earn their first team victory of the year Tuesday.
