FORKS — The Forks baseball bats came alive in the bottom of the seventh inning with Landin Davis delivering the game-winning walk-off hit in a 5-4 win over Coupeville.
The Spartans only had four hits entering the seventh inning Saturday. They were down 4-2 but allied with five straight hits in the bottom of the inning.
Kade Highfield, Bubba Hernandez and Aidan Salazar all singled to load the bases. Landen Olson belted a fourth single to drive in a run and make it 4-3.
Davis followed up with another single, driving in a run, while another run scored on an error as the Spartans improved to 10-2 on the season.
Davis finished 2-for-4 with a run scored and two RBIs. Salazar was 2-for-4 with a run scored, while Hernandez was 1-for-4 with two runs scored and two stolen bases. Gunner Rogers and Landen Olson each had a hit and an RBI.
Rogers went the distance to collect the victory. He went seven innings, allowed three hits and three earned runs. He struck out eight. It was the Spartans’ sixth straight win.
Forks (5-1, 10-2) next has a doubleheader at home beginning at 3 p.m. Thursday against Hoquiam.

Ingraham 6, Sequim 2
SEATTLE — The Sequim baseball team collected 11 hits against Ingraham, but could only push across two runs in a 6-2 loss.
Devyn Dearinger had a good game, hitting a pair of doubles and scoring a run. Hunter Tennell and Brayden White were each 2-for-4, while Ethan Staples had a run, a run scored and a walk.
Logan Doyle had a hit and an RBI and Zeke Schmadeke had an RBI on a sacrifice fly, two walks and a stolen base.
Dearinger pitched five innings, allowing four hits and an earned run. He struck out two.
Sequim (2-7, 4-7) next hosts Crosspoint at 4:15 p.m. today.

PORT ANGELES — The Port Angeles baseball team was victimized by a bad third inning in a 12-1 nonleague loss to 3A Bellevue at home
Bellevue scored nine runs in the third inning to take control of the game. The Riders were only able to manage two hits against the Bellevue pitching.
The Riders (6-2, 10-4) look to bounce back Tuesday, returning to the field at North Mason (3-5, 4-6) at 4:15 p.m. for an Olympic League game.
