SPORTS: Benefit youth basketball tournament set for Port Townsend

PORT TOWNSEND — The Port Townsend Girls Basketball Boosters will present three days of tournament games, hoops clinics and community projects June 19-21 as boys and girls high school teams compete in the Beach, BBQ and Basketball Tournament.

The high school basketball event will tip off on Wednesday, June 19 with a clinic and tournament games beginning at 9 a.m.

The tournament will raise funds to support youth basketball in Jefferson County.

The clinic and games will be held at Port Townsend High School or Blue Heron Middle School.

Team registration is available at a cost of $500 per team of seven-to-12 players.

The registration includes four games, two one-day clinics, a barbecue, a community project, contests, prizes and more.

The Port Townsend Girls Basketball Boosters is accepting team reservations until the deadline of noon on Monday, June 17.
