SPORTS: Minus Decker, Forks boys basketball holds off Rochester in overtime Wednesday night

FORKS — Minus one of the top players on their team, the Forks boys basketball team held off Rochester 48-45 in overtime on Senior Night on Wednesday.

Braden Decker, who is one-third of the offense and the top defender for Forks, coach Scott Justus said, has a skin disease, probably a bacterial infection, on a big toe.

There’s a possibility that Decker could miss the final two games of the regular season, at Hoquiam on Friday night and at Rainier on Saturday night.

The Spartans are sitting in second place for now and probably could grab runner-up honors by at least splitting the weekend games.
