NEAH BAY — It took a little less than a half of play for Neah Bay to show who will be dominating Class 1B football on the North Olympic Peninsula.
The Red Devils rolled past the Crescent Loggers 80-14 on Friday night in Northwest Football League action.
Josiah Greene passed for four touchdowns and ran for three other scores to spark Neah Bay (2-0 in Northwest Football League, 2-1 overall) to a dominating win over up-and-coming Crescent (1-1, 2-1).
Loaded with state-class track stars, the Loggers found out that speed was not enough against the Red Devils, who have their own stable of state-class track stars.
Even more importantly, they have been to the state football semifinals two years running.
“This was a game where our inexperience was no match for the No. 3-ranked team in the state,” Crescent coach Darrell Yount said about Neah Bay.
“Neah Bay dominated from the opening kick and just kept rolling and rolling.”
The Loggers couldn’t get any rhythm on offense and there was too much defensive pressure up front for them to handle, Yount said.
Zeke Greene caught three of Josiah Greene’s TD passes and ran for a another while Titus Pascua had two scoring runs and a TD reception.
Cody Cummins also had a TD run for the Red Devils while Eric Larson and Kai Story rushed for scores for the Loggers.
The game was called, because of the mercy rule, with 36.9 seconds left in the first half.
The Red Devils also had two fumble recoveries, one by Pascua and the other by Tyler McCaulley, and an interception by Leyton Doherty.
Josiah Greene passed for 195 yards on 10-of-18 throwing with no interceptions. He added 62 yards on the ground on five carries.
Zeke Greene, meanwhile, caught five passes for 128 yards and had another 66 rushing yards on two carries.
Pascua was the top rusher on the day with 84 yards on eight carries.
Neah Bay ended up with 270 yards on the ground while Crescent had a net of 63.
The Red Devils also had nine sacks on the day.
Cummins led the team with nine tackles, four solo, and 2.3 sacks.
The Red Devils next host Muckleshoot on Friday night while the Loggers play at state powerhouse Lummi on Friday night.
Both are league games.

Clallam Bay 28,
Rainier Chr. 20 (3OT)
CLALLAM BAY— Matt Mohr ran in a 3-yard touchdown and the Bruin defense backed it up with a gritty goal-line stand to earn a dramatic triple-overtime win Friday night.
Fielding only 11 players, Clallam Bay ripped off 282 yards of offense and shut out Rainier Christian in three successive overtime periods to claim its first win of the season in Northwest Football League play.
“All of the boys, they showed heart and they stuck it out,” Bruins coach Cal Ritter said. “They were tired, and they were hurting, but they hung together.”
The Bruins ground out 221 yards rushing in the win, with junior Jeremy Rock living up to his name with 103 yards and one touchdown on 19 carries.
Austin Ritter threw two touchdown passes — a 15-yarder to Calvin Ritter, and a 4-yarder to Ryan Willis — to help give the Bruins a 20-6 halftime lead.
Rainier Christian scored two touchdowns in the fourth quarter to tie things up, but Clallam Bay (1-1, 1-2) responded with an inspired defensive performance in overtime.
Following Mohr’s touchdown run at the start of the third OT, Rainier Christian got the ball as close as the 2-yard line but was unable to punch it in.
“We won it at the line of scrimmage with our offensive line and our defensive line,” Cal Ritter said.
“The boys played really good defense and played real good football, and then they came on at the end when we needed it.”
Clallam Bay heads to Lopez next Saturday.

CHIMACUM — Powerful Cascade Christian ran past the Cowboys in Nisqually League action Friday night.
“I have got to be better at coaching up my team to be able to compete and win this year,” coach Shawn Meacham said.
“Cascade is a good team, and they are well coached. But we keep making mental mistakes that kill drives on offense and make it hard to stop the other team on defense.”
Cascade scored three touchdowns in the second period to romp to a 35-0 lead at halftime after leading 14-0 after one.
Cascade then scored a touchdown each in the third and fourth quarters.
The Cowboys rushed for 81 total yards with Derek Ajax leading the way with nine carries for 47 yards.
Justin Morris had a great game defensively with eight tackles and four assists.
Chimacum next hosts Orting in a league game Friday night.
