PORT ANGELES — Four players scored in double-digits for the Peninsula College women’s basketball team Wednesday night but the Pirates let a 12-point, second-half lead get away, falling 80-70 to Everett.
The Trojans entered as leader of the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges North Division and overcame a 51-39 deficit to hold onto that spot.
Everett took the lead with just under six minutes to play and never gave it back.
Left-handed post Hilary Wick sparked the Trojans’ with 24 points, including back-to-back buckets which turned a 59-59 tie into a four-point lead.
