SPORTS: Port Angeles sweeps Chimacum/Port Townsend in boys tennis; Sequim does likewise to Bremerton

CHIMACUM — Port Angeles dominated Chimacum/Port Townsend in boys tennis action on Monday, winning 7-0.

The Roughriders won all three singles matches by forfeit and swept the doubles matches.

In No. 1 doubles, Jeremy Choe and Nick Fritschler defeated Wyatt Savidge and Zeb Stampfler 6-2, 6-0.

Daniel Manwell and Hayden Kays-Erdmann won the No.2 doubles match over Dominic Broderson and Justin Taylor 6-0, 6-0.

In No. 3 doubles Micah Needham and Jace Bohman beat Sean Miller and Shay Snider 6-2, 6-1.

And in No. 4 doubles, Janson Pederson and Matthew Hendry defeated Levi Clum and Zack Smith Misfud 6-0, 6-0.

The Riders play at North Mason today.

Bremerton 0

SEQUIM — The Wolves (5-0, 9-1) served up a sweep over the Knights to remain perfect in Olympic League play.

Donovan Lee defeated Spencer Stuart 6-0, 6-1 in the top singles match.

Issaiah Dewan defeated Tim Styrlund 6-0, 6-4, in the No. 2 singles match.

In the No. 3 singles match, Victor Lam beat Zach Zubrugg 6-3, 6-4.

In doubles play, Brandon Payne and Matthew Richards won the No. 2 match over Tyler Enloe and Jade Jarvis 6-0, 7-5.

Saul Nava and Eli Berg defeated Brycen Kulbeth and Conrad Ostwald 4-6, 6-3, (14-12), in the No. 2 match.

The No. 3 doubles match was won by Kevin Cassal and Dan Willis over Derrick Baker and Andrew Hill 6-2, 7-5.

In the No. 4 match, Brenden Hudson and Royhon Agostine defeated Drake Baker and Bean West 4-6, 7-5, (7-0).
