PORT ANGELES — The Port Angeles baseball team bounced back to beat Bremerton on Saturday after losing to the Knights on Friday night.
Saturday’s game was a makeup as the two teams played a rare back-to-back series.
Bremerton won 7-3 on Friday behind ace pitcher Eli Fultz but the Roughriders rebounded at home 8-1 after Port Angeles went with its ace, Easton Napiontek.

BREMERTON — The Knights unknotted a 3-3 deadlock with three runs in the fifth inning and held on for the Olympic League win Friday.
Bremerton southpaw ace Eli Fultz improved to 7-0 on the year by keeping the Roughriders in check after giving up three runs in the first inning.
Fultz gave up just one earned run by spreading out five hits, striking out 12 batters and walking just two.
Cole Uvila gave up three runs in four innings for the Riders, giving up five hits while fanning five.
Brad Reandeau took the loss by giving up four runs in two innings.
Easton Napiontek went 2 for 3 at bat with two doubles, an RBI and he drew a walk.
The Riders are tied for second with Sequim at 9-5 while the Knights are a half-game behind at 8-5.
North Kitsap leads everybody at 10-3.
Port Angeles is 10-6 overall.
Now the Riders host archrival Sequim on Monday at Civic Field.

KINGSTON — The Wolves are having a bit of bad luck after dropping their third Olympic League game in a row after losing to the Buccaneers on Saturday.
This has been a heartbreaking week for Sequim as it lost 6-4 to Olympic after the game was called because of rain in the seventh inning, then it lost 9-7 to North Mason on Friday and now the one-run loss to Kingston when that game was called in the seventh inning because of rain.
The Wolves are now 9-6 in league competition, falling behind league-leading North Kitsap, which is 10-3.
Nick Johnston took the loss in Saturday’s game despite giving up no earned runs in the six innings he pitched, scattering six hits and striking out six.
Kingston scored two in the first for all the runs it needed while Sequim scored once in the fifth inning.
Nick Ramirez had a triple in the game and an RBI for the Wolves while Tyler Campbell hit a double and Fred Serrano went 2 for 3 and scored Sequim’s lone run.
North Mason 9, Sequim 7
BELFAIR — The Bulldogs scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to snap a streak of losing six straight one-run games Friday.
Senior Andrew Burggraaf had a pinch-hit, two-run double in the sixth inning to put North Mason up for good.
Both Karsten Wake and Jon Donahue brought home two runners each for the Wolves.
Wake also scored two runs.
North Kitsap 16, Port Townsend 6
POULSBO — The Vikings jumped into first place at 10-3 with the Olympic League win Friday.
North Kitsap scored four runs in the first inning and then exploded for eight in the fourth to blow the game open.
The Redskins are now 2-12 in league action.

FORKS — Cameron Leons swung a good bat in both games for the Spartans.
He went 2 for 3 in the opening game with a home run, a double and two RBIs.
In the second game he was 2 for 4 with two more RBIs.
Mitch Leppell added two hits, including a double, in the second game.
