PORT ANGELES — Olympic League boys soccer powerhouse Bremerton scored the final three goals to beat Port Angeles 3-1 on Tuesday at Civic Field.

Port Angeles scored first on a penalty kick by Hayden McCartney but the Knights answered back two minutes later and then went ahead for good before halftime in the 31st minute on a penalty kick of their own.
“Goalkeeper Jack Doryland had his best game of the year coming up with some huge saves in the net,” Port Angeles coach Chris Saari said.

CHIMACUM — The Cowboys, 4-0 in league coming in, was supposed to get some competition from fellow Sea-Tac team Charles Wright, which came in at 2-0 in league.
It didn’t work out that way as it took only five innings for the Cowboys to dispose of Charles Wright.
It didn’t hurt that pitching ace and three-time Nisqually League MVP Landon Cray was on the mound.

The Class 1A defending state champion Cowboys are now 5-0 in league and 7-0 overall and are looking forward to some real competition Friday against tough 2A Sequim in Chimacum.
The nonleague game should show where the two teams are at right now as the Cowboys head to the playoffs and a defense of their title and the Wolves (5-2, 6-4) head to a high finish in the Olympic League and the 2A playoffs.
Chimacum tuned up for Sequim with 13 hits and no errors against Charles Wright.
