STATE GYMNASTICS: Sequim Wolves finish 24th at Class 1A/2A/3A meet

SAMMAMISH — Three Sequim gymnasts tucked, rolled and tumbled the Wolves to a 24th-place team finish at the Class 1A/2A/3A State Gymnastics meet Thursday at Sammamish High School.

Susannah Sharp earned the highest individual finish for Sequim, 74th, with a total event score of 23.7 points. Sharp was 33rd in the vault with a score of 8.525, tied for 41st in the floor exercise with an 8.775 and was 78th on the bars (6.4).

Kori Miller tied for 101st overall, taking 52nd on the bars with a 6.95 and tying for 64th on the vault (8.225).

Freshman Lucy Spelker was 88th in the vault with a 7.85. She placed 121st overall.

Host Sammamish won the team title with 179.5 points and Sammamish’s Seema Borgman won the individual all-around title with 37.85 points.
