NEAH BAY — Neah Bay outscored Lummi 20-6 in the second half to beat the Blackhawks 38-26 on Friday night.
After going into halftime down 20-18, the top-ranked Red Devils quickly took the lead for good when Cameron Buzzell hooked up with Chris Martinez for a 61-yard touchdown pass.
Two plays later, John Reamer tipped a pass by Lummi’s Hank Hoskins that was caught by Tommy Tyler and returned 40 yards for another Neah Bay touchdown.
The Red Devils added a 70-yard touchdown run by Elisha Winck and stopped fourth-ranked Lummi on a few fourth-down plays in the fourth quarter to preserve the win.
Neah Bay’s (2-0) win was one of many wins by North Olympic Peninsula teams Friday.
Port Angeles, Sequim, Port Townsend, Crescent, Clallam Bay and Forks all had wins Friday.
Forks 27, Chimacum 8
PORT TOWNSEND — Forks’ Miguel Morales put on a show on offense and defense to lead the Spartans to a 27-8 nonleague victory against Chimacum Friday at Memorial Field.
Morales, a 245-pound senior running back, carried the ball 10 times for 111 yards and three first half touchdowns as Forks lead 20-0 at halftime.
He added three sacks on defense and teammate Javier Contreras pulled down three interceptions to lead the Spartans.
Contreras also connected with junior tight end Reece Moody on a 70-yard scoring strike with 2:51 to play in the third quarter to put Forks up 27-0.
Port Angeles 42, Vashon 8
VASHON— Five different Roughriders scored touchdowns in the first half as Port Angeles (2-0) rolled to a nonleague road victory.
Offensive tackle Roberto Colonel opened the scoring with a touchdown out of the Riders’ Jumbo backfield in the first quarter.
Sam Burton rushed for a score to put Port Angeles up 14-0 after one quarter, and Nathan Angevine rushed for a touchdown and Ryan Rodocker threw a touchdown pass to tight end Caleb West to give the Riders a 28-0 lead.
Jace Lausche added the fifth touchdown of the first half as Port Angeles went up 35-0.
Sequim 40, Coupeville 18
COUPEVILLE — Chris Whitaker returned to the lineup and sparked the Wolves’ defense in Friday’s win.
Whitaker, a junior linebacker who missed last week’s opener, returned an interception for a touchdown.
Quarterback Miguel Moroles and running back Ethan Richmond led the Sequim (2-0) offense.

CLALLAM BAY — The Bruins moved to 2-0 on the season by defeating then Mustangs.

AUBURN — The Loggers notched their first win since 2012 on the road against the Kings.
Crescent trailed 14-12 at halftime before taking over in the final two quarters.
The Loggers rushed for over 300 yards and freshman KC Spencer caught three passes for three touchdowns.
