WILDER BASEBALL: Wilder Senior loses heartbreaker

Wilder loses close one

TACOMA — The Wilder Senior squad came heartbreakingly close to winning its last game of the Tacoma Communtiy College Showcase as the Timberjaxx Black team scored a run in the bottom of the seventh to eke out a 6-5 win.

Carson Jackson had another great game Sunday for Wilder Senior, going 3 for 4 with a double, two RBIs, a run scored and a stolen base. Luke Angeveine, Colton McGuffey and Hayden Woods all had doubles. Angevine and Kole Milyard had RBIs.

A trio of Wilder pitchers — Curan Bradley, Brady Shimko and Milyard — gave up just eight hits and three earned runs.

Wilder Senior had scored three runs in the top of the seventh to tie the game.

On Saturday, Wilder lost to the Bulldogs 9-1. Jackson had a triple, while Joel Wood, Milyard and Gavin Guerrero all had hits. Milyard had an RBI.
